i want this group to be very open. but i also want there to be some controls to manage trolls and help keep the atmosphere pleasant and welcoming.

if we have voting and can screen out members that behave badly then I vote for anarchy rules. If we can't do that I vote to let everyone in on honor system and then ban them if they don't behave.

what dream of peace said. let everyone in but build in some kind of system for weeding out those who misbehave.


if we have some kind of rating system to rate content, i think we can skip ratings 2 and 3 since no one uses them anyway. off the top of my head i suggest

-1. runs with scissors
-2. troll

i vote for take the initiative. the site becomes a reflection of the people who care enough to participate actively. as for me, today i've held off inviting folks because i wanted to wait til the structure in place. but media girl has worked so hard to get that done. i'm anxious to start inviting folks.

I've spent some time tonight reading and I'm impressed, and confused by the newness of the software features. I want to spend a little time with a users manual and/or watch the site and play with it for a few days until i understand some of the features i'm seeing. I am excited!
